Does your process give you purpose?

I want to be for you what others were for me - an encouraging voice with a supportive touch and a firm grip on a process that can empower.

It took time, reflection, and the support and opposition from many people to find and refine my process and purpose, something I will be sharing with you here, in my "shog" or "short" blog. Why?

I want to be part of your process. I want to help you find purpose. I want to support you, encourage you, inspire you, and, ultimately, empower you to take ownership of your craft. That is what so many others did for me. Whether it's a passion, a project, or a new habit, I want to empower you to do it yourself.

The hardest part is believing it can be done and taking the first step to getting it done. Believe me, as an introvert who did not have much confidence growing up, I know. It's even harder to ask for help because you are scared. I've been there and want to share what I’ve done so that you can also make it happen for yourself. You need to do it for you and it needs to come from you. That is why I am sharing my process not my product. My process is my product. Influencing your process will lead to empowerment. Sharing my outcomes or accomplishments will not lead to empowerment. To truly help others is to empower them to find their own answers.

How I started? I used every ounce of encouragement and belief others had in me to push myself to figure it out. And every time I figured it out, I felt so much more whole and empowered to take on the next challenge. Why? Because I did it. I owned it, I planned it, and I took action to make it happen. It was me and no one else. That is where empowerment comes from - overcoming obstacles and attacking newer, harder ones and overcoming them. It is a cycle, and I want to share mine with you. Sharing our stories connects us, makes us stronger, and empowers us to live with greater purpose.

My process has led to a greater sense of pride and confidence in myself; a meaningful career that gives me purpose; and a fulfilling and balanced life of intention that makes me whole, allowing me to share the best version of myself with my sister, my parents, my husband, my students, my co-workers, and my friends. So I want my blog to be something you want to read and can easily digest and apply to your process. I want to be for you what others were for me - an encouraging voice with a supportive touch and a firm grip on a process that can empower.
